Farm environment plans
A Farm Environment Plan is an auditable document which provides evidence that you are managing your farm resources efficiently in a way that minimises the environmental impact of your farm business.Having a compressive Nutrient Budget is essential to successfully developing a Farm Environment Plan. The Farm Environment Plan identifies the environmental risks your farming operation faces and demonstrates how these can be managed and mitigated, ensuring your farming operation complies with all the new environmental regulations including regional council water plan rules.
A Farm Environment Plan is intended to be a living document which is reviewed and updated annually to reflect changes on your farm, new risks, and account for actions to manage risks in the previous year.
A completed plan will demonstrate that you have assessed the environmental risks on your farm and have developed an action plan for continual improvement.
